Summer Skating & Stem Camp 6/16-6/20 - Rocket Skating Plus LLC

Our Camps have a different theme each day. Yes we will skate each day as well. Choose the themes and days that fits best in your budget and schedule. Each Days $42 and includes breakfast, lunch and a snack. It also cover all supplies for each day. Register 3 or more day and get a minecraft lego set for your camper.

Let’s begin, shall we?

Monday We will step into the Minecraft World. The game of Minecraft heavily features three concepts: collecting and crafting items, building out of blocks, and fighting off evil creatures.
There are specific areas in the world of Minecraft:
1. The Nether is a lava filled area where The Wither roams around and Netherite can be found. The Nether can be entered through a purple and black portal.
2. The End Dimension: is the black scary dark area where The Enderdragon is located and can be entered through The End Portal.
3. The Fields/The Plains: All of my research said the main grassy area in the game is called the Plains but my son insisted it was called the Fields. Either way, this is the basic world.
4. The Badlands: A sandy area where gold ingot can be found.
5. The Forest: This name is self explanatory.
6. The Village: Wherever the town or city is being built is referred to as The Village.
A range of potions can be crafted and collected including:
1. The Potion of Healing
2. The Potion of Fire Resistance
3. The Potion of Invisibility
4. As well as the running potion, jumping potion, and leaping potion
5. There are more but I think these are some of the most important for a game or just your drink display!
To fight the monsters, various weapons are used. Bow and Arrow, swords, etc. The Diamond Sword is one of the most powerful swords, however, the Netherite Sword is the most powerful of all and is the only sword that can defeat the Enderdragon in The End Dimension.
Dangerous Things in the World of Minecraft Include:
1. Creepers
2. The Wither Skeleton
3. The Enderdragon
4. Lava
5. TNT

Tuesday we will divide into teams and play our version of Amazing Race. We will stay on site but will be inside and outside. Please be sure to send the campers in tennis shoes today.

“Teams will race to find the clues that will give them the instructions for that part of the race. Clues can either be: “Route Info” where teams will need to follow the instructions on the card to receive the next clue, “Detours” where teams are given a choice of two activities to complete together to receive the next clue, or “Road Blocks” where only one team member must complete the task in order to move ahead. Are you ready for your first clue?” Then join us for this great day.

Wednesday we will be Creating DIY cardboard box cars for a drive-in movie night is a fun and creative activity. It involves using cardboard boxes, duct tape, scissors, and other crafting materials to build and decorate the cars. The process involves building the basic car shape, adding windows, doors, and other details, and then decorating the cars with paint, stickers, and other materials Parents can send any supplies to help with this project. The campers can bring a small blanket or pillow to use inside their box as we will sitting in our cars as we watch a afternoon movie. If you want to help out here are a few things on our Amazon list.

Thursday we will spend the morning outside playing in the water. We will come in and skate and play games with our snowballs. Please Apply sunscreen on the campers and send them in their swimsuits ready to play in the water. They also need a change of clothes and a towel.

Friday come dress as a pirate or princess. We will have a treasure hunt and have to rescue our captured princess.

I understand that I will be notified in the case of a medical emergency involving my child. In the event that I cannot be reached, I authorize the calling of a doctor and the providing of necessary medical services in the event my child is injured or becomes ill.

I understand that Rocket Skating Plus LLC it’s owners and it’s employees and volunteers will not be responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred, but that such expenses will be my responsibility as parent/guardian.

My student agrees to follow The camper Code of Conduct which is designed to ensure that all of the participants in the camp program have a safe and happy camp experience.

Rocket Skating Plus LLC Camp, and its co-organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged personal property. All scheduled events are subject to change. Children’s’ photos and quotes may be used for publicity purposes. In case of an emergency, and if a family physician cannot be reached, I hereby authorize my child to be treated by Certified Emergency Personnel (i.e. EMT, First Responder, and/or Physician).

Photo Release – I hereby give permission for my child to be photographed during the Rocket Skating Plus Camp. I understand the photos will be used to keep a journal of activities, to share during power point presentations and/or reports to our donors and for promotional purposes including flyers, brochures, newspaper and on the internet. I understand that although my child’s photograph may be used for advertising, his or her identity will not be disclosed, I do not expect compensation and that all photos are the property of Rocket Skating Plus Camp and its affiliates.
